About me:
.. Celebrity Hairstylist Karen C. Bishop has been a hair professional for some 15 years and is responsible for the locks of a host of top name stars. On call for several Hollywood A-list celebrities, Karen has parlayed her talents into advertising, music videos, commercials and print editorials. Her work takes her to the some of the most exotic locations around the world— London, France, Italy, Barbados, St. Croix, Miami's South Beach, and Florida's West Palm Beach.The New York hairstylist has been doing hair since she was 12 years old. "I started doing braids on the front steps of our home and in the nearby parks for young women in the neighborhood. This was during the time when braids were super hot. When Essence magazine ran a story on braids, I knew I was onto something. Soon enough, Essence published some of my work and my client base began to expand."
Karen received her cosmetology license in 1985 and her B.S. degree in accounting in 1994. While attending college, she consecutively pursued a hair profession, successfully cultivating what was to become an exceedingly high-volume clientele. Karen's intensive training and experience in the business field helped her become an entrepreneur in the hair industry. She continually strives for excellence, focused on remaining in the forefront of innovative hair care and design.
