One
Love Family are one of the most charismatic reggae bands from
Portugal.
Started
in 1998, this family, whose members ages range between 8 and 47,
has already played in the main Portuguese stages, with memorable
performances in Paredes de Coura, Sudoeste and also in festivals
in Holland and Spain.
'Allelujah', One Love Family's most recent record, celebrates the
music of One Love Family in a record that documents their deep
spirituality. A record that, through Roots Reggae, speaks of
problems like racism, war, poverty, or pollution, defending a ife
in communion with our fellow man and nature, as necessary means to
build a better world. A captivating set of songs produced with the
collaboration of such names as Jamaicans Sly Dunbar, Dean Fraser,
Danny Thompson, Stephen Stewart and Earl 'Chinna' Smith, who also
co-produced 'Hallelujah', which was recorded between Carcavelos
and Jamaica.
'Allelujah' is definitely a landmark in Portuguese Reggae, an
album in which One Love Family transmit us their message filled
with positive vibrations and their music made of words of peace,
freedom and harmony, because this family never gets tired of
reminding us: 'When we believe in humanity as one big family, we
become more free'.
The album was released in a recycled paper cover, for the sake of
nature!
JAH BLESS! ONE LOVE!
