Song titles include, “Walking Up The Royal Mile”, a song written on returning home to Edinburgh after travelling in America. “Standing Over Elvis”, was composed after a visit to Graceland. “Politicians And Assassins”, has been described as a protest song but the song was written in reaction to the Lockerbie disaster of 1988 and the aftermath. “Take My Body Home”, tells the story of a son’s reaction to his father’s final wishes. “Star”, is a song that mocks a reality TV wannabe culture. “Morning Rain”, questions the validity of a tired relationship. “Sisters”, jokes about the dangers of dabbling with the fairer sex. “Life After Love”, is about moving on after an intense relationship. “Ten Minute Man”, frivolously examines the activities of a philanderer. “Everybody’s Suffering”, has a sing along chorus that fits in between verses telling tales of woe. “Sunrise Sunset”, is a feel good love song and finally, “Nothing In The World I Can Say”, attempts to give comfort in time of sorrow.
