About me: National Music Scholarship Fair (NMSF) is a program designed to aid college and university music departments in recruiting high school graduating music students from all over the country. It also provides opportunity for high school students in the area of music to audition for music scholarships from colleges and universities that are traditionally out of reach. NMSF presents a win-win situation for all participants. With the all-in-one method of recruiting, College and University Music Directors audition more music students in one day, than they usually see in a week's time. At one location, they are able to audition students that rarely have the opportunity because they attend a high school that seldom receives a visit from recruiters.
For the auditioning music students, this is an event like no other. The instrumentalist, vocalists, and dancers will now have an opportunity to apply and audition to several schools from around the country. This allows the student to interview and compare each school's program as well as determine how well the specific program will accommodate their educational needs and goals. Each student will receive a Letter of Intent from each program director interested in their performing abilities.
Once again, both this student and the Program Directors will have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits and convenience of the next National Music Scholarship Fair. We look forward to providing the forum where students can show off their talents and years of hard work and experience "shopping" for a college/university that will fulfill their continuing educational needs. Our next Scholarship Fair is scheduled for Spring 2007. Check our calendar on the home page for dates and locations.
