..Who is SAGE? SAGE encompasses three alluring biological sisters that hail from Baltimore, MD-Muffin lead vocals, Rell, and Melody A.K.A. Tika. The birth-name, SAGE, was originally spelled S.A.G. (deriving from the acronym Sisters of Agape, meaning sisters representing God's unconditional Love)given by mother in a dream. Each member brings her own original flair to the group. Muffin is bubbly, Rell is seductive, while Melody is sultry, together they exude the ultimate blend of sex appeal and sophistication. Their harmony exhibits a spiritual wave of hynotism that is mesmerizing. As youth, the majority of SAGE's performances consisted of acapella performances for church-related functions along the Eastern Sea board. As women, SAGE has graced a variety of stages from Cali back to the East Coast. Some noted SAGE performances include opening for the R&B soul Artist, Aaron Hall and Neo-soul Artist, Raheem DeVaughn. Next to the stage, the music studio is SAGE's home away from home. In mid-January, 2002, SAGE relocated to Los Angeles from Baltimore to pursue their passion. This critical move came with the support of Jaerod "Jae" Deal, family friend and original producer. Jae has been a key contributor to the growth and success of SAGE. While residing for three years in North Hollywood, the group collaborated with a number of noted producers and musicians. This musical collaboration evolved into SAGE's first, independent Soul grassroots project entitled "More than a Harmony". This independent trio co-produced "More than a Harmony" with their West Coast production family Bottom Dwellerz. Producer/Artist Dante "Young Luck" Orpilla, guitarist David "DAVO" Foreman, producer/drummer for Snoop Dog, Derrick "D-loc" Walker of THFNKYDRMR Music Production and Grammy Award winning Mixing Engineer/guitarist/drummer, Bruce Boulliet, dwell in the Bottom Dwellerz pit. Bottom Dwellerz found their home in the production of SAGE's debut project. This matchless collaboration has created a sound that is soulful, sassy and vivacious! SAGE calls it R&B, Ready and Bold Soul! Since then, Sage has relocated back to their hometown to saturate their city with their sound. On January 21, 2007, Sage had their first live R & B band performance at the Baltimore Rowing Club with local band, Music, Inc. Depsite all odds, their EPK is in press and will be in distribution in 2009. Keep your ears to the ground, Sage is Ready... SAGE is a heavenly, synchronized blend of eclectic tunes sharing the same genes. Not to forget, SAGE's talents are not limited to vocal performances; each member creates an ebb and flow of lyrics with their own pens. Their words lift off the page and breathe passionate experiences that others can relate to. Be sure to follow these sexy songbirds on an exciting journey through their world of music!
