Biografía
A band of outlaws and misfits joined together to play a new brand of rock; mixing together their favorite hard rock, melodic metal, southern rock, psychedelic, and alternative rock. SHATTER is a lyrically-driven band backed by thunderous drums, shredding bluesy guitars, and soulful vocals. A throwback to the wilder, crazier days of rock n roll with a n energetic, emotional, unpredictable, and unforgettable show. SHATTER had their first practice, January 2, 2008; and played their first show less than two months later. Band has played almost 200 shows in their first two and half years across the Midwest (Nebraska, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, and Minnesota). Band has played with National Acts such as Megadeth, Tesla, Skid Row, Psychostick, Smile Empty Soul, Edisun, Earshot, Dirty Little Rabbits, Wildstreet, and Future Leaders of the World. SHATTER has won several Battle of the Bands across the Midwest. On Vocals is your Captain, Eric Gill. On Guitar you have the Mad Russian, Igor Dimitrienko. Bass is Chris Heaton and Drums is The Godfather, John "Magic" Thompson. The band got a break to record with one of their heroes, plus get away from the Iowa winter for a while to record a full-length album this past February and March or 2010. SHATTER just released their debut album, Timeless. Recorded with Brian Wheat of the legendary rock band, Tesla. Tesla had hit songs in the late 80s and early 90s (Love Song, Signs, Modern Day Cowboy, What You Give to name a few). Their latest album, Forever More, released in 2008, has received a lot of radio play around the world with songs like I Wanna Live and Breakin' Free. Tesla has sold over 20 million records and still going strong headlining festivals all around the world. Wheat recorded, produced, and mixed the entire album at his studio in Sacramento, Cal. Wheat's studio, J Street Recorders, recorded the last Tesla album and has recorded bands like the Deftones, Papa Roach, and Pat Travers Band. The band stayed at Brian's house for over a month in February and March during the recording. Timeless was mastered at Sound Farm in Jamaica, Iowa in April. Timeless, an 11 song record that is an hour full of emotional hard rock tunes. The first single and video, See You Again, was just recently released on myspace, facebook, and youtube.com. Songs like Lifeline and Survived are mid-tempo rockers with attitude. Never the Same and Streets Aren't Paved in Gold are radio friendly ballads. Hard rocking up tempo tunes like Mars Hill, Victory, Here I Come, and the epic Timeless have a lot of energy and power. Darker tunes like Hell In Oxford and I Feel Better are like miniature horror flicks in a song. -
