My little brother Sheyn was a Steeler fan.
I have no idea why.
I think it was that Mean Joe Green Coke commercial when we were kids. (The one they parodied tonight)
When we found that Sheyn's kidney cancer had metastasized to his lungs, we knew he had limited time.
I wanted to do something special for him.
Spend some brother time with him before he went.
Time I regret not spending with him before his kidney cancer was diagnosed.
I arranged to get tickets to a Steelers game in, Ironically, Arizona against the Cardinals.
Tickets secured, I had the flight, rental car and hotel reservations with two days before and after as bookend days just to spend with him literally just a mouse click away on Expedia.
Over and over again I tried to ring him on his cell phone and even my mother's phone...nothing.
I was so excited to hear the joy in his voice when I told him about our trip together...the phone rang...it was my sister telling me that paramedics were taking Sheyn away...pumping his chest and shocking him...
Joy turns to terror in seconds.
My world was upside down.
Sheyn died.
He was only 37.
Sad for us.
Promotion for him.
A year and a half later the pain is less, but I still miss him terribly.
A year and a half the same two teams, this time in the championship game.
The Super Bowl.
Tonight, I know he was watching his Terrible Towel, turned Heavenly Towel.
I was watching on a faulty TV.
He was watching with HDTV (Heavenly Definition TV) *He got the better view*
His Steelers won.
I don't know if he had the ability to influence the out come, but I know he sure did enjoy that out come.

Your Steelers are playing in the Super Bowl Tomorrow.
I know you'll be watching from heaven.
I'll be eating some wings and cheering on the black and gold for you.

ur bday is almost here...wow! we still miss u so much! zoe's a big girl now (almost 3) n caleb has his D.L. - crazy! lol...my fam incl mickey n hope n sara talk bout u often. still feel ur presence everyday - it helps... we all miss n luv u...
