| About 1st Call Mastering |
1st Call Mastering was founded by musician/composer Fotios Koulakos. 1st
Call Mastering is a fully dedicated mastering facility aimed squarely at
independent labels/musicians. Major labels/artists are also more than welcome, but 1st Call Mastering has a vision and a passion to provide major label quality mastering to the aformentioned indie labels/musicians WITHOUT the sting of major label mastering prices!
There needs to be a bridge for musicians who don't have unlimited budgets to be able to compete on the same playing field (sonically speaking, that is) as the majors. Now, especially with the advent of MySpace, the playing field really IS leveled, and everyone has opportunity for exposure...thus making the need for a quality AND affordable mastering facility all the more crucial!
