Throughout the years, it has been said that “behind every great man there stands a great woman”. For Wisdom Court Entertainment, this statement couldn’t be more accurate.
Known as the First Lady of Wisdom Court, Mai H is singing her way to the top. Born Mable Amanda Henderson, she was raised in Maryland and currently resides in Frederick County. Mai graduated from high school in 1998 and chose not to enroll into college. Her biggest ambition was to pursue one thing in life...singing. With her foot in the door and a microphone in her hand, she is fulfilling her goal and adding some femininity to the WC Crew.
Her first exposure was in church where she spent countless hours as a child and a young adult singing in front of others. A special robe worn by the choir was made for her because she was too small to fit into the original one. From that point until now, Mai has been involved in several engagements including talent shows, weddings, concerts and dedication ceremonies. Her accomplishments include coming in 1st place at talent shows and given special honors by the Fort Detrick Military Base for her soulful sound and range.
Mai has grown with the WC family since 2001 and has been featured on every CD release to this day. She has already performed at shows, singing ‘Shine,’ Let It Go,’ and most popular ‘Love Story,’ alongside Wisdom Court’s finest. This is one woman who has her priorities in check and ready to take her aspirations to the next level. In the near future, Mai will continue to work with fellow producer, Billy Lyve. She will follow-up with a CD to generate a larger fan base and expose her talents as an artist.
“The gift of song is what I was blessed with and like most,” says Mai.
She admits she’s quite the chameleon. “I’ve always been soft spoken, yet opinionated; complex, but simplistic and humble, always wanting more for myself.”
