I just wanted to let you know that I talked with the activities counselor at the college and we are almost ready to start the team I'm putting together for the polar plunge, but the others will still do some activities around the college since they need more money for everything, so we should have a team for the polar plunge, I'll send more details when I'm able to.

Put the followwing into the address-bar of your web-browser. Type ur favorite number between 1 and 999 & then type a dot & then type your favorite color & then type a dot & then type one word that best describes your mood & then type a dot & then type the word retwistic & then type a dot & then type com & then click enter. I just want to wish you a happy birthday and that the college I'm taking classes at will have a plunge team next year for the polar plunge. I came up with Mario game characters for our costumes.

About me:

The Special Olympics World Summer Games were in Shanghai, China from October 2-11 and were the largest single sporting event in 2007. The enormity of the Games – more than 7,200 Special Olympics athletes and their families from 165 countries; tens of thousands of coaches, volunteers and Chinese citizens; competitions in 25 Olympic-type and demonstration sports at more than 20 venues commanded worldwide attention.

Check out this video from the Opening Ceremony. It is an amazing drums performance led by a Chinese athlete that opened up the entire ceremony and absolutely rocked Shanghai!

Actor Colin Farrell was a 2007 Special Olympics World Games Spokesperson. Hear some of what he has to say about being part of the Special Olymics Global Movement. Then check out Colin hanging out with his fellow Irishmen during the Games!

This next video is a little action of Team USA versus Team Poland in volleyball. In the stands is the US Presedential Delegation which included sports icons Mr. Cub Ernie Banks and Olympic silver medalist Michelle Kwan. They are both fans of Special Olympics!

For some real entertainment check out Special Olympics Chairman Tim Shriver along with Special Olympics International Board Director and athlete Loretta Claiborne as they learn how to make authentic Chinese dumplings in a local host town family's apartment!

Listen to the world famous musician, and very zen human being, Yo-Yo Ma explain what he finds fascinating about the Special Olympics Global Movement. Then take a listen as Yo-Yo Ma and his Silk Road Ensemble break it down a little for the media at the press conference.

The last video for now is a very exciting video for the Special Olympics Australian women's basketball team. Watch them win the gold medal as they hold on to a two point lead in the final seconds!
