    THE BEGINNING: The Southern-California based group 200 West began as a purely acoustic, song-writing band. With very limited expectations and even less money, 200 West released their debut acoustic E.P "Let's See Where This Takes Us" to a very warm welcome from fans and listeners alike. The simple 5 track E.P accumulated over 25,000 downloads and would lead to countless numbers of shows for the band over a span of several years. Wanting more musically, the group decided to branch out and develop an even bigger sound. Adding more members to the band, and using the various local music scenes they grew up in and around as reference points, 200 West regrouped and began recording new music. Living amongst cables, amps, and many musical instruments for months on end, 200 West emerged from the studio in the summer of 2011 with their first full-length album, "The Season." The album is a glimpse into the lives of the members of 200 West and has helped pave the way for their newly defined sound; while still remaining true to their original song writing roots. THE FUTURE: Many songs off the album 'The Season' have already landed into the hands of a number of college and independent radio stations and have been receiving air-play. The band has been steadily gaining ground on the college music scene, playing shows at Cal State Fullerton, UCSD, Cal State San Bernardino, The Claremont Colleges, to name a few. Fully embracing their musical journey, 200 West continues to play shows and is currently recording more new music. The band has recently booked a 3 month full US tour with Warped Tour veterans Cold Forty Three and Last Chance Casanova. "The End of the World Tour" kicks off in March 2012 and will include 53 shows, including several Canadian dates and a stop at South By South West (SXSW). The band presses on, working tirelessly to share their music with new listeners and fans. 200 WEST is music's destination.
