  • Music

I listen to everything except rap. I like country and classic rock the most. Also, disco is the best to dance to.
  • Movies

I enjoy westerns, comedy, romance, suspense, mystery, and drama. Occasionally I will watch a horror/scary flick, but rarely. I LOVE classic movies. The old stuff is the best stuff. I dislike remakes. Nothing is better than the original. If I could change the ending of any movie, I would change Cast Away's ending. I do not like Harry Potter movies 3 and 4. They ruin the books. One and two are much better.

  • Books

The Five People You Meet in Heaven. The Da Vinci Code. Harry Potter. To Kill a Mockingbird. Of Mice and Men. Black Beauty. The Horse Whisperer. Beaches. Oh, the Places You Will Go. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. Night. Call of the Wild. He's Just Not That Into You. The Catcher in the Rye. Deliverance. The Grapes of Wrath. Things Fall Apart. Tom Sawyer. The Crucible. Okay, I have to say that my favorite books growing up were Dear America books. They were totally kick ass. They are historical fiction books and they taught me so much about history! Hands down, the worst book I ever read was Red Baker. It's so bad that it's out of print!

Oh, and I like quotes. A lot.

“They say it is better to be poor and happy than rich and miserable, but how about a compromise like moderately rich and just moody?”-Princess Diana

“Sometimes it's the smallest decisions that can change your life forever.”-Keri Russell

“Life is the art of drawing without an eraser.”-John W. Gardner

“Even though we've changed and we're all finding our own place in the world, we all know that when the tears fall or the smile spreads across our face, we'll come to each other because no matter where this crazy world takes us, nothing will ever change so much to the point where we're not all still friends.”

“There's no half-singing in the shower, you're either a rock star or an opera diva.”-Josh Groban

“Don't go around saying the world owes you a living; the world owes you nothing; it was here first.”-Mark Twain

“The Constitution only gives people the right to pursue happiness. You have to catch it yourself.”-Benjamin Franklin

“Sometimes you put walls up not to keep people out, but to see who cares enough to break them down.”-Unknown

About me:

I am a senior Equine Science major at Morehead State University in Kentucky. I'm an active member of the MSU Equestrian team and Reporter for Collegiate FFA. I'm so excited that I am graduating in May! I am going to graduate school for Equine Reproduction. Not sure where just yet but I would love to go to Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
My favorite holiday is Fourth of July because of all the festivities. It's the true American holiday with all the barbecues, fireworks, and patriotism. I also love Mardi Gras and would love to go to Mardi Gras in New Orleans someday. Traveling is like reading a new book, no matter where you travel, you will always meet interesting people and see amazing sites.
Audrey Hepburn once said, "I love people who make me laugh. I honestly think it's the thing I like most, to laugh. It cures a multitude of ills. It's probably the most important thing in a person.” I totally agree. I've probably shared too much already so I'll go now!

Who I'd like to meet:

~The Cowgirl~
She is not strange or wrong,
Because of what she wears,
But if you think she is,
She doesn't really care.

She'd rather be different,
Then to be the same,
She likes wide open spaces,
Her spirit's never tame.

The pasture is her haven,
It's there she likes to roam,
Her horse is her best friend,
The barn is home sweet home.

She has her own opinions,
She likes to cross the line,
She ain't sophisticated,
And with her that is just fine.

She'll never be a follower,
Her own style she'll create,
Rap is not her thing,
She'd rather hear George Strait.

She's happy just the way she is,
For you she'll never change,
She's gonna spend her life like this,
A cowgirl on the open range.
