  • Bio

Based in Adelaide South Australia, Far West Battlefront is a melodic deathcore act best described as encorporating the ferocity of Whitechapel, the subtle ambience of Deftones and the forward thinking of Bring Me The Horizon. "Chapters" is the bands debut full length album, tracked in Melbourne with The Red Shore mastermind Roman Koester in July 2011 at Complex Studios (Deez Nuts, 50 Lions) while enlisting the services of Swedish recording engineer Fredrik Nordström (Bring Me the Horizon, Dimmu Borgir) to take the helm for mixing and mastering duties. Taking care of the artwork for the release will be hungarian based artist Grindesign (Suffokate, As I Lay Dying, Soilwork). Making a guest appearance on the record is Misery Signals frontman Karl Schubach. Instilled with the DIY work ethic cemented in the Adelaide heavy scene by bands such as I Killed the Prom Queen and Embodiment 12:14, self booked shows were fulfilled across the country from Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle and Perth to more regional areas like Mildura, Broken Hill, Loxton, Ballarat and Mount Gambier. This hard work has recognised with supports for international heavy weights Between The Buried and Me, For The Fallen Dreams, The Acacia Strain, Haste the Day, All Shall Perish and The Contortionist while also landing the solitary Adelaide support for the Escape the Fate/Pierce the Veil Australian tour. "Bear witness to the cleansing power of fury. These are the sort of tracks that gets unsigned bands signed. These Aussies are looking for a label. They'll find one soon enough, no trouble." - Terrorizer Magazine UK "Far West Battlefront opened the evening with a set which could only be described as dominating. Each member could have easily tackled the stage solo." -Fasterlouder.com.au (LIVE REVIEW w/The Acacia Strain) "...There's more than enough potential within Far West Battlefront to believe that the band could well and truly come up with something really special in the future." - Themetalforge.com "With a euro metal-influenced sound that was at times reminiscent of Bleeding Through and Darkest Hour, it may only be a matter of time before this band is the next hot topic in Australian metal." - DB Magazine Booking enquiries: matt@fetchagency.com.au All other enquiries: farwestbattlefront@hotmail.co.uk
