| General | Fishing, or more accurately, maggot drowning. Fantasy novels, cooking, music ... and trying to find the time to do anything! | | Music | Bit of a grey area this one, I like so many things from different artists at different times but firm favourite bands include Led Zeppelin, Faithless, Coldplay. Clannad & some classical help me relax and drift whilst dance/trance energises | | Movies | Lord of the Rings most definately - the books were the start of my love for fantasy novels. I loved the Matrix - what a brilliant idea, and the music was so cool. No-brainers like The Mummy, Big Trouble in Little China, Monty Python but not chick flicks - same film, different people. Enemy at the Gate, Goodbye Mr Chips and A Beautiful Mind were memorable | | Television | It's what my playstation is plugged into! Seriously, is there anything worth watching???? Top Gear, Life on Mars, Dangermouse, Hustle ... where are they? 24 hours of snivelling social misfits makes for good viewing does it? Big Brother needs a Big Bang! | | Books | Way, way too many to list! Tolkien is top of the hit list (with the exception of Silmarillion ... what??) Just finished Jeremy Clarkson's And another thing ... I love his 'turn of phrase'. Terry Brooks Landover series & Shannhara books. Da Vinci Code I thought was brilliant | | Heroes | Anyone who can sing cos I can't carry a tune in a bucket! Tolkien for creating such a wonderful tales. Da Vinci for such extreme varied talent. About me:
It seems I have no time to do the things I want for as long as I would wish (and yet I'm sitting here typing this out!). A visit to the fishing lake is about all I get in although the time I spend there in proportion to what I catch I think I should get much more reading in! I would love to write a short novel and I have much of it planned out but when I get to sit at the keyboard ... blank. I would love to be able to play guitar or piano but I'm sure I don't have the dexterity or talent for either. There are more important people in my life than me and so I wait contentedly
