About 20/20 Hindsight

20/20 Hindsight was based out of Mason City, Iowa. The band was formed in the early months of 2004. Since 20/20 stepped on the stage for it's first live performance, the four members of the band strived to pave a unique path in the independent music community. To just play some shows in various places around the state wasn't enough. How about a show in every county of Iowa? That idea was the inspiration for the band to create it's "99 County Tour". 20/20 attempted to be the first band from Iowa to play a live show in every one of the state's ninety-nine counties. The members of the band also felt the need to help others as they travel the interstates, highways, and byways of Iowa. In January of 2005 they met with Iowa's Governor Tom Vilsack to announce a charity program the band had created to assist various charities, non profit organizations, and individuals in need. Each month, a different group is chosen to collect funds for. At every live performance the band passed around a container for anyone who'd like to put a donation into. The band also contributed money from every CD they sold to each collection. As of August 2006, over $3,700 had been raised by the band and it's fans. Organizations who have benefited include the United Way Disaster Relief Fund, Camp Courageous, Ronald McDonald House, Crisis Intervention Center, VH1 Save The Music Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, St Judes Childrens Hospital, and numerous others.

Kt Lew	Sep 18 2006 6:42 PM well i just herd the news. i cant believe it. im almost dissappointed guys... you were going strong, eventhough things may have seemed like they wernt going well, but if you guys would have hung on a little longer you never know what would have happened. eventhough you guys are doing this, just remember the good things. the money you have raised as cherity. the wonderful music you produced. and the thousands of fans you have made. you gave other bands the courage and gave them the opportunity to get out there and play. good job just to let ya know, my brothers band just played in battle of the bands last friday, and they ended up making it to the finals. next friday, the 29th they are playing at legends in cedar rapids. if you dont work or have anything to do you should check it out. wont be dissappointed! bye guys, keep in touch

You really introduced me to the thought of being in a band. I'll never forget watching you for the first time at bandfest. It was pouring rain but you stayed on stage and rocked for the rest of your set. My dream came true last year on Sept. 2 when we played together for the first time.
