About me:
Hello.
Well im Cristiano Ronaldo, as most of you know me by.
But my actual name is Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro.
I was born in Funchal, Madeira, on February 5th 1985.
I grew with my parents, two elder sisters, Elma and Katia, and an elder brother Hugo.
My middle name, which most people know me by, Ronaldo, is relatively rare in Portugal.
My father chose this name from his favourite actor, Ronald Reagan.
I began to kick a football at the age of three,
and when I was six people began to see my passion for sport.
I first played for Andorinha, when I was eight.
By the time I was ten, Madeira's top teams, Club Sport Marítimo and Clube Desportivo Nacional, were both after signing me.
I ended up signing for Clube Desportivo Nacional.
After a title-winning campaign, I moved to Sporting Clube de Portugal.
After going through the youth system, and getting to the first team,
the day came when we played against Manchester United.
And just six days after the match I had been signed by them.
And since then my career has continously improved.
