About me:

Music is not my profession, but my passion and Rhythm is my soulmate! I have been learning Tabla since the age of 10 from one of the finest Tabla players of India, Pt. Sadashiv Pawar, who inherited his knowledge of tabla from the late Ustad Amir Hussein Khan, a tabla wizard and one of the top notch tabla players of his time. I have had the honor of accompanying such luminaries as Padmabhushan Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan, Padmavibhushan Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Padmabhushan Pandita Prabha Atre, Dr. Sushila Rani Patel, Smt. Arati Ankalikar, Smt. Neela Bhagwat and Shri Zunain Khan amongst others. I have also been a part of several fusion music and world music groups worldwide. I have had the opportunity to perform in countries like India, UK, France, USA, Australia and New Zealand, often for lecture/demonstrations, solo concerts and fusion music.
