Truman Capote, Jean Rhys and Charles Bukowski are three of my favorites authors. Sad that they're all dead and we won't see any more from them. Bukowski's poetry rules! Try reading 'Love is a Dog From Hell ~ Poems 1974-1977', if you haven't experienced his work. I also love early Bret Easton Ellis. I like biographies, especially scandalous ones. I pretty much have my nose stuck in a book all the time. According to Lorissa's calculations, I can read 400 words per minute. About me:
I live in a pink house with blue shutters that's stuffed with vintage in beautiful Hollywood-by-the-Sea, with my guy Charlie and our five animals Baby, Maus, Snippet, Viggo and Iris. Three of the above are chihuahuas. We have a large garden, and lately Charlie has taken to growing things in it that you can eat, like tomatoes and bananas! This is a thrilling development. I sell vintage clothing on a kick-ass website called Posh Vintage, and sometimes people actually pay me to dress models.
Charlie has four exceptional children that I have the joy of being Stepmonster to on their school vacations. They are the smartest, funniest, prettiest kids on the planet, and I'm not at all biased.
I collect vintage. Thrift store art, for instance. I have so many paintings that I can't display them all. The house is like a gallery with rotating exhibitions. I'm currently obsessed with female nudes. I love our house. It completes me. I love our garden. I love people who love our house and garden. I really love to host parties where I cook for people and we drink a lot and get tipsy and dance around. Hence all the silly pictures I have on this page. Drinking has always agreed with me, and I with it. I'm really neurotic about the house being spotless before anyone can step into it, so we have less dinner parties than we would if I would just relax. Not that I'm a messy person by any means, I'm just a freak about my house being neat.
I went to school to study art history. Fat lot of good it did me, I was a model booker for six years. I do know the difference between Impressionism and Abstract Expressionism, though. Go higher education!
