    We run monthly in the Glasgow School of Art Vic Bar (up on Renfrew St) on the 2nd Saturday every month. Pints are cheap (£2.30)- we used to say we play Techno, Electro, House & Disco but we've always just tried to play music we like and what we like has changed a fair bit. So expect Dubstep, Garage, Funky, Grime, Hip-Hop, Indie, Soul, Breaks, Dub, HipHop, Acid, Booty, Funk, DnB and a whole load of random stuff over the course of a couple nights. In case you didn't know Cheap & Nasty is One More Tune's wee sister night which holds parties in Nice'N'Sleazy up on Sauchiehall street, again monthly on 1st Thursdays. It ain't that pretty but it's bloody good fun.

    Since July 2008 Cheap & Nasty has been all about delivering value for money for Glasgow's clued up (and often skint) student crowd. We like to think we second guessed the recession by at least a fair good whack. There's a different think going on in Cheap & Nasty. If you come down, and listen hard you might agree. Taking an irreverant approach to partying- we ain't an Electro night, nor an Indie retreat, nor a hiphop club. Techno? No Sir-Ee. Funk? Disco? Get tae...! Na, it's not for being named-just gee it a by. We are however only at the beginning of the story, and they say it's about to get a lot nastier...

    About One More Tune's residents (Define Define):

    Ralph Thomson (Dumbarton) and Matthew Craig (Glasgow) met through the Applied Music course at Strathclyde Uni and played in the guitar group together there. After bumping into each other on various glasgow clubs in early 2007 they realised their tastes in music were similar and that they had both just bought their first turntables/mixers at similar times only months earlier.

    About the night:

    After six months or so with his 1210s Matthew decided to start a night and name it after the best bit in all the cracking nights he'd been to - WAN MARE CHOOOON! may be closer to the mark... but the proper English spelling stuck and Ralph agreed to DJ and help organise the beast. Somewhere along the road (near the start of 2008) the boys picked up some extra help promoting from Damien Hughes his help's been key to us getting to the level we're at now. Having settled with the DJing name Define Define, guitar teachers turned vinyl addicts Ralph and Matthew aim to produce their own music and take people on a wee musical journey-wherever that may lead.

About me:

Welcome and hiya, pal. One More Tune = a clubnight that began life in a dear green place called Glasgow in Summer 2007, the name comes from all good club kids' favourite chant at the end of a good night. One More Tune started life in Blackfriars Basement and now resides in Glasgow School of Art's Vic Bar (until June 2011 when it closes). Cheap & Nasty was established in July 2008 and does the dirty every month at Nicensleazy.

Our main interests = Art + Community which in clubnight chat means piling some oversized speakers with BASS into a room and hoping someone dances.
