GETTING IN TOUCH WITH ALOUD
A communiqué to the people of Earth: MySpace is not Aloud's primary method of communication. If a timely response is your thing—it's assumed it is—we urge you to e-mail Aloud at aloud@allthingsaloud.com. Failure to do so may result in your message languishing for months, possibly years. In other words: DO NOT SEND MESSAGES TO THIS MYSPACE ACCOUNT.
If you're with the press, or anything that could reasonably be considered press: you wouldn't buy a friend a ticket on the Titanic if you had foreknowledge it was going to sink, so please do not link to this MySpace page. That's just rude, man.
If you're a fan, www.allthingsAloud.com and the following sites are better suited for keeping tabs on Aloud:

Thank you.

Bio
Fiery rock n' roll band Aloud is known for their tight male/female vocals, exceptionally strong songwriting, and energy-filled live performances. Lead vocalists/guitarists and songwriters Jen de la Osa and Henry Beguiristain have been collaborating as songwriters since their early teens. The critically acclaimed group is based in Boston, and perform regularly throughout the Northeast, Midwest and Southeast. Fan the Fury is Aloud's second full-length album released March 2008 on the band's own Lemon Merchant Records. Aloud recorded Fan the Fury as a follow up to their 2006 release Leave Your Light On and their 2004 EP The Sooner It Comes. Fan The Fury was produced by former Sony engineer Chuck Brody, whose previous work includes albums for American Princes, Northern State, Yoko Ono, Wu Tang Clan and more. Tracks from Fan The Fury are currently receiving air play from 100 college radio stations nationwide. Aloud has appeared in interviews and articles for such fine publications as Performer Magazine, The Boston Phoenix, The Boston Globe, The Boston Herald, Boston Metro, TimeOut New York, The Deli (NYC & VT), Seven Days (VT), Eagle Times (NH), and more. Last year, Aloud wrapped up a 76 date national tour in support of Fan The Fury. Aloud's third album "Exile", produced by Daniel Nicholas Daskivich, is being released nationally on October 12, 2010 with a coast-to-coast US tour to follow. -

About Aloud
Exile represents a sea change for Aloud. Bandleaders Henry Beguiristain and Jen de la Osa spent over a year in the studio creating the album, following the departure of their original rhythm section. The result is a beautiful and strange collection of songs, featuring often-unfulfilled, complex characters coming to terms with bleak circumstances, while searching for hope and relief in unlikely places.
Overall, Exile is Aloud’s most sophisticated and experimental album to date, showcasing their new-found love of orchestration, Sgt. Pepper-like production, and rich, lyrical imagery. Exile is Aloud’s third full-length album, and is the debut album from talented producer/engineer Daniel Nicholas Daskivich. The album was fan-funded via Kickstarter.com.
Aloud will be touring as in support of Exile this fall, returning to CMJ this October before heading off on their debut coast-to-coast tour, encompassing the entire US in over 50 performances.
###
“The New Aloud – One of New England’s best contemporary bands has somehow managed to get much better over the last year. Songwriting, honest emotional surrender and compelling strong structure are keys to the new songs on Exile”
Ryan's Smashing Life
“Pure pop for now people. Powered by the twin vocal/guitar attack of Jen de la Osa and Henry Beguiristain, the Boston-based combo Aloud somehow succeeds in uniting chamber pop with rock anthems.”
Philadelphia Inquirer
"Like Jefferson Airplane frontwoman Grace Slick, Aloud singer Jen de la Osa chisels every lyric into stone with her powerful, smoky voice. The emotion and strength she exudes with every word made me want to meet her and her band."
Boston Herald
"Jen de la Osa is a dynamo on stage and on record. She’s a petite woman with a larger-than-life voice and her guitar playing seemingly has its own personality with all its side notes and pick-slides. Her vocals are one of the hallmarks of Aloud’s sound; powerful enough to blow the doors down, yet accurate enough to blow just the right doors down."
Performer Magazine
"Singer Jen de la Osa has some really exceptional pipes, at times forlorn and dreamy like Fiona Apple and at other times roaring like Grace Slick or maybe even a slightly more lilting Janis Joplin. She trades off vocal duties with longtime collaborator Henry Beguirstain who has a more modern rock sound.”
Flagpole (Athens, GA)
"...though their rock is not so feedback blues-driven, Aloud’s musical energy does recall the White Stripes, if only there were two Jacks, no Meg.”
Offbeat (New Orleans)
"Henry Beguiristain could make elegantly sad young music – so could Jen de la Osa – but when he contemplates being “fatalistic,” she rhymes it with “sadistic.”
UWeekly (Columbus, OH)
“The brainchild of lead guitarist Henry Beguiristain and Jen de La Osa, the band combines two voices for triumphant harmonies."
Post & Courier (South Carolina)
