About me:

..
dancing boy Ricky was born in San Jose, California. Loving son of Rogerio and Alicia Gonzalez. Beloved brother of Rogerio Jr., Rocio, Al-x, Yessenia, Jerry, Marianna, and Miguelangel. Caring uncle of Cristina, Samantha, Brieanna, Jayde, Celeste, David Jr., Marines, Rogerio the III, Jerry Jr., Lil Ricky, Damian and Nicolas Ricardo. Ricky passed away at the age of 22 in Bangor, California. He leaves behind many wonderful memories. He was very funny, talented and charismatic. He made friends easily with his down to earth and easy going way. People loved to be around him especially the ladies. He had a natural way of making people laugh. When he would say a joke, he would act them out with his hands and hilarious facial expressions. Ricky was intelligent and always willing to learn new things. He had a unique sense of style. Although we thought he looked funky, he thought he looked sharp. The most memorable aspect about Ricky is the beautiful music that streamed out of the piano when he played it. He was a natural and his music will live on in our hearts forever. Ricky was diagnosed being Bipolar which brought on his depression and the love to never turn away a drink. He loved to party and party he did. He struggled a lot with himself; from returning to school to further his education to getting a job in sales. Although he had many demons inside him, he tried his best to change and become a better person. 4 years ago, those demons won, he gave up on his battle and took his life. The family lost an important part of our tree. A branch with so much inspiration, so much love, so much craziness, so much talent, a branch we all loved to see and hang around with. If we only understood this disorder, a disorder that effects many people. Then, maybe we could have been there for him and helped the fragile branch become strong and grow to a very old age and possibly avoid this tragedy. This is why, the family is in the process of starting “The Ricky G Foundation”, a non-profit organization that will inform and educate the community, especially the minorities of this disorder. There is help out there for those with Bipolar as well as help for the loved ones around them. The Ricky G Foundation will be a dream we can fulfill so that the memory of Ricardo Gonzalez will live in all of us, for a very long time. We can see him now, cruising in his VW Bus with 23 windows smiling down upon us. We love you Arinky Stinky..
