Married for the third time. Wife's name is Cheryl. I am a property claims adjuster for Erie Insurance and handle claims in the Canton/Akron area. Cheryl is an RN and works at Cuyahoga Falls General, Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
Family consists of 7 children. Melanie and Monica with wife #1, Nancy Holcomb. Alexandra and Amanda with wife #2, Jeanne Workinger and Christopher, Lisa and Kelly stepchildren with Cheryl. I have 4 grandchildren thanks to Monica and her husband Steve: William Nathan, Emma, Olivia and Zack. Melanie married David Moyer in 2002 and added to my grandchild count with Jacob and Katie. My stepdaughter Lisa is in the U.S. Navy, currently she is stationed at Dam Neck in VA after serving for 5 years on the U.S.S. Iwo Jima.
Attended Edinboro State College, now Edinboro University of PA. Graduated in May 1974 with a BS degree in secondary education with a focus in criminal justice. While at Edinboro I worked on WJKB, WSFR, WQLN and WESA radio stations. I have a 3rd class broadcasting license with endorsements. That means nothing today.
I've worked for Prudential Insurance, Motorists Mutual Insurance Co. and now Erie Insurance Group. I lived in Erie, PA for 17 years. During my time in Erie I founded the Erie Apple Crunchers computer club and served as a contributing editor to the international computer magazine, Nibble. The high points of being involved with the Erie Apple Crunchers was meeting Bill Gates while he was only a millionaire!
Also, while living in Erie, I began playing and coaching soccer. I coached girls' soccer at Our Lady's Christian School, Strong Vincent High School, Lake High School and GlenOak High School. I have had the honor to coach two daughters and two stepdaughters (Melanie, Monica, Kelly and Lisa). I still play soccer for a co-ed team.
