Anyhoo, here's a list I find interesting, that hasn't failed me: The sizes of hailstones (from Islandnet.com): pea (1/4"), marble, dime, nickel, quarter (1"), half dollar, ping pong ball, golf ball, hen egg (2"), tennis ball, baseball, teacup (?!; 3"), grapefruit (4"), softball (4 1/2").
