About me:
Hey all you out there in MySpace land! Welcome to the eHome of my zine, 20 Sided Die.

"I dig it."
-Todd, of OddTodd.com
"I loved the article, "The Big Mc G is Angry," by Robert McGraw...I haven't stopped laughing!"
-Mary Sugget, Syndicate for Ted Rall
Long time, no create! It's been a difficult and computer-less year for me, but I am now the proud owner of a new mac and am ready to get back to making more issues of 20 Sided Die! Which means, of course, that...
20 Sided Die wants you! Do you do stuff? Write stuff? Make stuff? Stuff stuff? I want to publish it. Simply send me an email at 20SidedDie@gmail.com titled CONTRIBUTION and I will give it a looksie. If I like it (and there is a good chance I will), I'll let you know what issue you can expect to be printed in. Just make sure it'll print up in black and white a-ok.
Mission:
Originally created by Emma and Caroline, 20 Sided Die started as a non-soul-crushing thing to do while making our way through "the real world." It's an attempt to take all of the arts—painting, dance, photography, music, theater, and so on—and find a new way to express them within the confines of the printed page. It's also a reflection of all of the tv, movies, people, and pop culture that influence our friends and ourselves. It's made for and by the artsy-yet-money-impaired living (or dreaming of living) the city life, and is packed (packed!) with comics, plays, essays, trenchant ramblings, interviews, and whimsy.
Have a lovely day!
The first issue was released 12 November 2005 at the fanciest party in the land and was welcomed into Bluestockings [www.bluestockings.com] and Kiva Cafe on 14 November 2005.
Who I'd like to meet:
Librarians, Heroes, Villains, Gamers, Geeks, Goths, Punks, People. And Rachel Maddow. She is Awesome.Details

'City Smells' is a new literary project set up by the Edit Red Writing Community.
We are running three writing competitions, Flash Fiction, Creative Non-Fiction and Poetry, all with the theme 'City Smells. The winners of each of these competitions will win $100. But more than this, we will take the best work from each competition and compile a paperback 'City Smells' anthology. The writers who make it into the 'City Smells' anthology will each receive free copies of the book and be paid a royalty in book sales.
To submit to these competition and stand a chance of being published in the 'City Smells' book you must be a member of Edit Red, as the submission process is automated. Joining Edit Red and entering these competitions is 100% free. If you make it into the book, we will pay royalties based on book sales.
Edit Red has existed for many years and was created and is still managed today by non-fiction author Alan Emmins, creative writing teacher Chris Lee Ramsden and literary reviewer Sean Merrigan.
If you are not already a member, we hope you will join and take part in this great literary event. Sign up here for free!
Regards
Alan, Sean and Chris
Thanks for the release party! It was quite fun. I could not believe that Thomas Pynchon showed up -- well done!
Thanks for putting us on your list of favorite music. We like everything too.
