Writers, musicians, filmmakers, web geeks and other bon vivants are asked to take two minutes each to answer the question of the day. The results can be as varied as the emotions and reactions they evoke.
Since the first 20x2 at the South By Southwest interactive conference (SXSW) in 2001, 20x2 has grown to include an ever-expanding pantheon of participants. Show creator Kevin Newsum and collaborative partner Jeff Rider have helped provide the framework for each unique set of performances, and Mike Stephens is your host. But the real kudos, of course, belong to the many people who have made 20x2 what it is...a reflection of that same dynamic originality that inspires each of us, brought together on one special night...and then repeated in spirit each time we get together.
It's hella fun and we hope you'll join us for an event some time soon. We promise you won't be bored, and you'll likely come off with a few creative ideas of your own. |

About me:
What happens when you take twenty artists, designers, writers, musicians and bon vivants, give them each two minutes and the same question to answer, and turn them loose before a live audience?
This is the premise of 20x2, a staple of SXSW Interactive that marks its 11th overall show on Monday, march 10th, 2008. With each show, 20x2 asks twenty participants to each answer the same question in a two-minute time frame, before a live audience.
20x2, version 8.0 (they’re numbered like software releases, get it?) asked its speakers “What's the Difference?”
Be there as assorted designers, musicians, DJs, novelists and more answer the question in creative fashion.

artists, writers, designers, musicians, actors, comedians, filmmakers, poets (slam or otherwise) bon vivants, people who are secretly creative but haven't come clean yet. you know who you are. also, others who prefer to be in the presence of such peeps. because you never know what they'll cook up.
