  • Bio

It's been seven years since Cody's critically acclaimed debut release "Living Stereo" was released. Now, after spending almost 3 years at the legendary Paramore studios in Silverlake CA, and witnessing the creation of masterpieces by Fiona Apple, Jonathon Rice, Lucinda Williams, Sarah McLaughlin and Vic Chestnutt, Cody has created his own masterpiece in "Scorched and Scatted Volume 2". Having elected to do the majority of the performing, recording and writing on his first CD, Cody has gathered a diverse group of musicians for this eclectic second full length release. Such friends as Collin Herring, Gabrielle Douglas (The Cush), Eric Schutt (Mermaid Purse), Steve Collins (Deadman), John Kent (Radish, Ben Kweller), and members of Dallas psyche-band Sunward. "Scorched and Scattered Vol. 2" contains songs that range from the orchestral "Introduction", the Buckley-esque blues of "Why Would I Lie", Joe Jackson-like pop/jazz of "Ode to Barrymore" to the garage rock stomps of "Not the One" and "Cynical Song".
