MC’s Dillon ‘D'Artist’ Dabarera and Paul ‘Infamouz’ Ankomah: Both prolific lyricists and artists in their own right, used their personal life stories and relationships with Christ as the main source and foundation for their own unique style of (R)hythmically (A)pplied (P)oetry. The two were joined by seasoned turntablist DJ-T. As a proficient musician with a professional background in both the Melbourne DJ and music scenes, T served as 2-11’s DJ, Executive Producer and Manager. .... 2-11 strove to express the true art of Hip-Hop while delivering positive messages in a language that transcended stereotypes and related to today’s generation. “Rather than stars, we saw ourselves as servants to all those that listened to our music and see us perform”. .... 2-11 performed and appeared at numerous events, concerts and venues all across Melbourne, Regional Victoria and New South Wales. In addition to this, they worked extensively with various community and charity based organisations, church groups, high schools and colleges. “We wanted to do our best to give back to the community with whatever little success we could ascertain. We didn't want the time we spent making music to be superficial or cliché, leaving behind even the slightest legacy or impact was far more important than simply achieving commercial acclaim, award or recognition”. .... 2-11 only had the one official EP release entitled 'PHAZE 1'. PHAZE 1 achieved various airplay and sold well across Victoria and New South Wales. Tracks from the EP also consecutively reached the number 1, 2 and 3 spots on Triple J Unearthed’s national hip-hop charts (11, 12 and 13 respectively on the national overall charts), and held their respective positions for a number of weeks. .. .. .. .. .. ....
