Monika Skrzypkowski, of 718 N. Fernandez Ave. in Arlington Heights, was walking when she was struck by an automobile at North Elmhurst Road and West Kenilworth Avenue, a spokesman for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office said.
Skrzypkowski was pronounced dead at Northwest Community Healthcare in Arlington Heights at 12:07 a.m., the spokesman said.
A Sunday autopsy determined Skrzypkowski died of multiple injuries from an automobile striking a pedestrian. Her death was ruled an accident.
Prospect Heights police refused to comment on the incident Sunday.

my Friend is very sad right now. i don't know what to do. he saw this happen because he was right next to her. he almost got hit to.
the driver was driving 125 m/h! stupid stupid idiot!
even after this happened everyone though she would be okay. she broke every bone in her body and they couldn't get her breathing started.
i never would have thought this would happen!
they were so happy together!
it was his birthday party.
this driver is from my friend's school and in his grade! how ironic!
the bad part is that he is only 17 and so once he turns 18 he will have the DUI off his record. of course the murder will stay on his record. he even tried to run away. my friend saw what type of car it was and so the police blocked off all the roads and found him on the radar.
they were almost back at his house like 100 feet away!
my friend doesnt know who it is if he did he would go crazy
..the killer might go in jail....
