Being nice, Music(playing/listening), sound and obsessing about all it's facets, wine, drums(sometimes), learning to do yoga without falling over, common sense, avoiding apathy in my old age, listening to and trying to understand other people......Music
Indian Classical(i.e.: Ravi Shankar), Jazz(Coltrain, Bird, Monk, Satchmo, Ella, Sarah, Dianah W., Billie) Nels Cline, Bill Frissel, David Torn, Charles Ives, (Classical) most all the composers we know and love, Debussy, Ravel, Ludwig, Mozart, Bach etc..... Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell, Bjork, Doors, King Crimson, old country music(as in pre 70's, or 50's....actually, pre 40's)....funny French guy named Serge Gainsbourg, Pinback(just about any Rob Crow project), Calexico(of course), Lhasa De Selah(could listen to her all day), This new cat named Sufjian Stevens is doing some nice stuff, lots of local idependant musicians/artists that I've come to know and respect.................NO 80's pop!!
