Rahkyt and his Alter Egos. We are All part of the One, influenced by All Music and expressive of the Same. Vocalist, Saxaphonist, Keyboardist, Drumbeater and Composer, the full gamut of musical expression is made manifest through One Body, One Mind, One Soul.
Influences
My influences range from Jazz to all eras of Soul music. Hip Hop and Rock find expression, as well as Classical vibes, from time to time. An eclectic mixture of sounds, it is created to challenge genre and invoke thought beyond the mundane.
Practically all of the beats that you'll hear I've created myself. Where I have not, they were created by one other person, namely, Sol Eternity, and those songs are a few years old now. I use Soundforge and a host of smaller audio programs to layer and edit my music soundforms, so this is all in-house production, which accounts for the quality issues on some of the vocals. Still, the text and meaning of the urbanpoetics should offset any complaints you may have regarding the mechanics.
Sounds Like
Sounds like nothing you've ever heard before. Prince, De La Soul, Bon Jovi, The Indigo Girls, Beethoven, Marvin Gaye.
Layered sound creates subtexts of meaning girded by notes mathematical in nature, each soundscape a discourse on probability. Listening to this music evokes multiple styles, genres and eras and speaks to the soul in a manner that is innovative and meant to lead to the heights of elevation while being expressive of the Now in all of its complexity.
Close your eyes and listen. Explore the soundscapes, delving deeper into meaning and possibility. Find something new, and different, every time.
Welcome to Rahkytopia. The music here is different, an expression of my Soul. It's not commercial or flashy, just expressing imperatives that come from deep within. Arists must express their innermost urges, and I am an Artist of the Soul first and foremost. If what you hear interests you, check out the player below for quite a few more pieces. Blessings to you and yours as you explore the many interests spaces to be found herein!

The best thing about starting over is that we can always do so, right now. No matter how far out things become, we can always begin again, from right here. The liberation and absolution within this eternal moment is always here beside us, like an old familiar friend waiting for us to take notice once again. Arms wide open ~R~
