About me: Well, I'll start by saying that Papillon IS my real name !
Originally from London, England and currently based in Paris, France, I'm a trained and experienced Theatre Actress and Dancer. I also present, write and model (and sing !) You can check out my Mini Music myspace at: www.myspace.com/papillonyoung
My rich "cocktail heritage", curiosity and well travelled family have enabled me to be completely fluent in four languages. (Trying to find time to learn a fifth...)
Starting classical ballet at the age of 4 gave birth to my love of Performing Arts. This lead me to win a scholarship at one of UK's leading Theatre Schools where I continued my studies whilst simultaneously working in the Industry.
Since leaving college, I have worked extensively in Musical Theatre: Cats, Miss Saigon, A Chorus Line, South Pacific (to name a few) in London's West End, UK and Asian Tours.
In my teen years, I was noticed by the late Oscar Winning Director Anthony Minghella after auditioning for his choreographer wife and he encouraged me to turn my attention to acting on stage. His help and support allowed me to gain confidence to express myself through drama.
I have also featured in several advertising campaigns (Benetton, Cathay Pacific, Issey Miyake...) TV and Film appearances alongside Ray Liotta, Sean Penn, Pierce Brosnan...
Presenting work include Game shows, Travel Guides and Sports (Football and Snow) Magazines.
Music Videos include Robbie Williams, Tina Turner...
I guess you can say that I TRY to be a Swiss Knife of The Performing Arts as I love to express myself through different means whether it be performing or creating... plus why limit yourself to just one thing ? Life is too rich !
Embracing France as a challenge for new adventures and experiences, I envisage to eventually work around the globe in different sectors of the Film/Television and Theatre Industry. I know where my heart lies...but if I told you everything then there would be no more mystery would there....?
