I used to read . . . before that's what my career became all about. I remember pleasure reading. It used to be delightful and the Tattered Cover was a dream!Heroes
"Hero"--it's such a word to live up to and is dangerous, as the fall is easy and the drop is long when someone is elevated to hero status. So, let's just list people that I admire: Mario Lemieux, Gene Kranz, Jimmy Carter, the men and women serving in the military on our behalf, the faculty at Emory Law, Peter, and others. I'll add more as I think of them. Sometimes, those who I admire most are low profile and tend not to draw attention to themselves. They, more than most, deserve the title "hero."

About me:
My first love is flying in the wind tunnel and all the great things that has led to--like skydiving (I'm just learning) and the people who fly. That's pure joy. In my "other" life, I'm a lawyer who does commercial real estate work. My dog is the best companion and mental health therapy that anyone could ask for. I love hockey (GO AVS; GO PENS; GO THRASHERS!), Georgia, and anything that blooms--dogwood, wisteria, rhododendrons, hydrangeas, azaleas, gardenias, columbine . . . you get the idea. I love live oak trees, Southern accents, drapes that puddle on the floor, giant windows with lots of sunlight coming in, kudzu (as long as it's not in MY yard!), crisp fall air and bright spring sunshine. There's nothing like a beautiful Christmas tree, Christmas carols, and shopping at Talbots. I love Kelly green, Coca-Cola, the smell of turpentine (miss you, Aunt Rose--even now!), and the sound of doves outside my window. I speak Spanish and I love my Ouragan suit--thanks, Derek and Kefran! I drive a Volvo but my heart runs a little faster. I'd pick the ocean over the mountains but I love a good blizzard. Those are just some snippets of me. Oh, yes, and I regularly abuse and misuse the ellipsis. I just do. ..Who I'd like to meet:
