JERSEY MISSION 2009
30th January - 1st February
Our first mission trip of 2009 was to Jersey
with Jersey Elim Church.
It was great to work alongside Pr Stephen and his team
and church, both in meetings and on the streets.
Hopefully it won't be too long before we can go back there!

SICILY MISSION 2008

A big thank you to everybody who we met in Sicily in July.
We had an amazing time with the churches there, and you can read more about it in the blog section.
Live Session On Premier Radio
The 230Band were invited to do a live acoustic session on London's Premier Radio Drivetime show in February 2008. The opening track from the album "Show Us Your Glory" had already had airplay on Premier, so it was great for Harry, Miguel and Anthony to go down there with Kristian Lythe for an interview and to play a live version of "Walk On Water".
The album has also been heard in a few stores across London (and we don't just mean the KT bookshop!) so it's great to be reaching more people every day!

About the 230Band
The 230Band story begins with their roots in their home church - Kensington Temple (KT) in London’s Notting Hill Gate (yes, that Notting Hill!)
KT is one of the largest churches in London and is hugely diverse, with a congregation featuring over 100 nationalities.
Starting out by playing at KT’s Sunday afternoon half-past-two service (hence the name) the 230Band have brought a distinctive sound and approach to 21st century worship. Musically inspired from as far apart as Piazzolla and P.O.D. and drawn from across the globe – as people they’re as diverse as creation comes!
The 230Band were instrumental in starting KT’s Saturday Praise Party in 2005 and have become its house band. Besides sharing the stage with many popular artists at the Praise Party, the 230Band also play each year at the legendary end of summer Notting Hill Carnival.
Their debut album Show Us Your Glory was released in May 2007.
In the blog section there's an interview with Harry George from March 2007 (called "Taking It To The Streets") where he talks about making the debut album.

The 230Band play most weekends at Kensington Temple’s Saturday Praise Party and 2.30pm Sunday Service. Kensington Temple is in Notting Hill Gate - there are maps here from Streetmap and Multimap.
Notting Hill Gate is served by the 27, 28, 31, 52, 70, 94, 148, 328, 390 and 452 buses; and is on the Central, District and Circle tube lines. See www.tfl.gov.uk for more details.
