**Sunday, 5/4/08**~8:27am~ Jackie is still making good eye contact, she sometimes turns her head and tracks peoplewhen they come in the room and talk to her. All therapies continue but no casts for a while. She has started seeing a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) Dr for her accupunture and he gives here herbs etc.The doctor starts each session with a prayer to Jesus to use him to help heal Jackie and lasts up to 3 hours. No seizures for 11 weeks now. The family says THANK YOU so much for keeping Jackie in your thoughts and prayers.

**Tuesday, 4/15/08**~10:08pm~ Off Dilantin and still no seizures! Have not heard the results of the EEG but they do not expect any major changes. Jackie is making better eye contact now and is getting used to the standing frame (a chair that raises her to a standing position and braces her there ), she was in it for 25 minutes one day last week. Hyperbarics continues as well as the serial casting and accupuncture. Pray for her to be able to communicate. Pray for Jackie! EXPECT MIRACLES!
**Saturday, 3/29/08**~11:21pm~ Everything is still going OK, they continue to adjust the medication combo, she will be off dilantin (a seizure drug that makes her drowsy) this Friday. Tomorrow she will begin an 48 hr EEG. She will wear the equipment at home. Eye contact has been good and she had a good day with the speech therapist on Thursday. Still doing hyper-barics, 20 more before evaluation. The ongoing prayers and support are amazing (the Rockin' E and the Truck Show) God Bless all of you! Pray for Jackie! and EXPECT MIRACLES!
**Monday, 3/17/08**~9:40pm~ Another week without a seizure!!! No major changes lately. The therapists are trying different things to initiate some communication, nothing consistent yet but pray for Jackie's success. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy is going good (she does it every afternoon), she rests comfortably in the chamber and sometimes sleeps. Hopefully this will be the last week with serial casts and then she can start going to the pool again. The cast and botox have really helped keep her hands from being stiff and that will help in the long run. They will be changing her seizure meds soon so pray that it does not cause a problem. Stay safe over spring break. See everyone at the benefit this Saturday and Happy Easter. Pray for Jackie! EXPECT MIRACLES!
**Monday, 3/10/08**
~12:10am~ Two weeks and two days since without a seizure! They are trying seizure meds that will not make her as drowsy (she has a new neurologist) but therapies continue on anyway. She has not been able to swim again since the casts went back on but that will resume in a week or so. There is still a steady schedule of doctor appointments so she spends more time in the car now. Pray for Jackie!! EXPECT MIRACLES!!!!

**Monday, 3/3/08**
~10:15am~ Jax is doing ok, she just went eight days without a seizure. That is the first full week since Feb. 11 without one. She has just started a new combination of medicines to combat seizures. She has also begun the hyper-baric oxygen therapy and accupuncture, not sure how they will do but we will let you know. She now has casts on her arms again, they are the serial cast for the botox treatment. She has been a little out of it lately probably due to the toll the seizures take on the body, the Valium, and the seizure medications but hopefully she is moving past that. Pray for Jackie! EXPECT MIRACLES!!!

**Thursday, 2/14/08**
~4:25pm~ Jackie is doing good. She started doing therapy in a swimming pool a couple weeks ago. She's only been able to do it one time but it went really good. She had a pretty bad seizure earlier this week and went to the Decatur emergency room. She was sent home that day. The next week or so is filled with all kinds of appointments, so she'll be really busy! Sorry for the gap between updates. Keep Praying for her and EXPECT MIRACLES!!
**Wednesday, 1/23/08**
~5:40pm~ Everything ended up good. All tests came back clear. Jackie stayed 2 nights at Harris Methodist and then was able to go home. It ended up being a positive that she had the seizures because it meant her brain was trying to make connections. She's back doing her therapy this week, which has been going very good! Pray for Jackie!! EXPECT MIRACLES!!!
**Wednesday, 1/16/08**
~7:20pm~ Jackie has been admitted into Harris Methodist in Fort Worth tonight. She had multiple seizures throughout the day, so they took her to the ER to get some tests run. Jackie has had a severe bladder infection that was not getting better with antibiotics. It was thought that maybe the infection had spread so they did a blood test and it came back clear. They also did a cat scan to make sure her seizures did not harm her and it showed that they had not. This evening they did a spinal tap to check the fluid that is on her brain and it came a little concerning. It's kind of hard to explain but they look at her white blood cells and her count should be 5 but it came back a 7, they said if there was an infection the number would be in the 100s. So with that 7 count and a rising fever, they decided to keep her for a couple days to get her antibiotics, hooked up to a central line, and to have a neurologist see her. That's all I know right now, I'll call for an update tomorrow and try to let y'all know daily what is going on. Please Pray for Jackie! EXPECT MIRACLES!!!

~10:45am~ Just wanted to tell everyone who didn't get to see Jackie yesterday that she looked Beautiful! When I finally got over there yesterday evening she was SO tired!!!! She had a busy day...a 3 hour therapy session and then many visitors. Once again the therapists were saying positive things! She had a good day!! Pray for Jackie! EXPECT MIRACLES!!!
**Monday, 1/7/08**
~1pm~ Sorry I have not updated in a long time. Truthfully, I'm not sure what to say anymore. I guess I can tell y'all Jackie got home safely. Within a couple days of being home, she had to be taken to the emergency room in Decatur. There she was diagnosed with the Flu. She fought that and is doing much better now. I saw her a week ago and she looked great. I don't know if I told y'all but her trach is totally gone. She still has the feeding tube though. She has 3 therapist that come see her nearly daily. They have said very promising things. They are hoping to have her talking by Spring Break and walking by summer. She is still in a coma, it's just not very deep though. The last conscienceness test they performed she scored a .6 but that was before she came down with the flu. I have no idea if that set her back. That's all there is really to tell. Kurrie is writing another in depth update that I will post in a blog and bulletin as soon as I get it. I hope that clears up more. I'm so sorry for the lack of updates. I hope everyone is still checking in on her. I swear...I'm going to start updating more often. It won't be daily like it use to but at least a couple times a week and then of course, if something major happens. So keep checking this page. Oh and before I wrap up this update, Today is Jackie's 21st birthday...be sure to write her a little bday note! Thank y'all for all y'alls support, patience, and especially Prayers. **Thursday, 12/20/07**
~1:30pm~ Jackie gets to come home today! She is having the procedure done on her bladder so she should be checking out of the hospital about 2. I'm not sure how she is getting home...I have a heard a couple different stories, like ambulance or careflight, but I'm not real sure. However it is, Pray that it is a safe and easy trip for her. Her casts were taken off Tuesday, I'm sure she is very relieved and much more comfortble now. Anyways, I'll let you know how the move goes so check back later. Thank you to everybody...for your help, support, Prayers, thoughts, etc! Pray for Jackie and EXPECT MIRACLES!!!
**Monday, 12/17/07**
~1:40pm~ Jackie is doing good. I went to see her yesterday and she was not very happy while we were there...i don't really know why. She is going home Thursday...she is still in a coma though. Her time is up at Baylor and they are taking her home until she can qualify for full-time Baylor rehab. While she is home, they will have someone come and do rehab. Don't think this is a bad thing...we are very excited! The drs say the home atmosphere MIGHT be able to trigger something and move her along a little faster. And it will be such a relief for Patrick and Kurrie to not have to live at a hospital anymore. She gets her casts off her feet tomorrow and the drs might have to do a procedure on her bladder before they check her out Thursday. She has been having a lot of bladder infections, so they just want to make sure that is all cleared up for when she goes home. That's about it right now...check back later. Pray for Jackie! EXPECT MIRACLES!!!
**Thursday, 12/5/07**
~5pm~ Everything is about the same. Jackie is doing great. The drs did a conscienceness test and Jackie scored a .91 (once again, it's on a scale of 0-4..4 being deep coma and 0 being awake like us)! Her feet are still casted but those should be off by the end of the month. The cast come off her hands this week and they are just putting them in splints. Her infections are cleared up. That's about all to report. Again sorry for the lack of updates. This was my last week of school, all I have left now are a couple finals on Tuesday and then my updates should be more regular.
