BRAD PAISLEY, LORETTA LYNN, CRYSTAL GAYLE, BUDDY KILLEN, JOE CARTER, JUNE AND JOHNNY CASH FAMILY, CRAIG MORGAN, TERRI CLARK......................

BRAD PAISLEY - When Brad's grandfather was diagnosed he only lived about three or so months. His grandfather gave him his first guitar when he was eight. Before his grandfather passed, he got a chance to see Brad open for the Judds.
LORETTA LYNN - Loretta's brother died of pancreatic cancer in July of 1996. That same year, Loretta Lynn's husband passed away. Loretta was the first woman ever to be named Entertainer of the year by both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music.
BUDDY KILLEN - Buddy was a music publisher, songwriter and record producer who helped launch the careers of Dolly Parton and Bill Anderson. He published the hit song "Heartbreak Hotel" by Elvis Presley. He also published songs for the hit duo OutKast. Buddy died Nov. 1, 2006 of pancreatic cancer.
JOE CARTER, CARTER AND CASH FAMILY- Joe was the musician son of two founding members of the country band the Carter Family, A.P. and Sara Carter. His Aunt was Maybelle (the third founding member) and his cousins were June and Johnny Cash. Joe died in March 2005 of pancreatic cancer.
MERLIN LITTLEFIELD- Merlin, who I only had the pleasure to know briefly through our mutual friend and former CMA director Ed Benson, lost his battle in September of 2008. He worked with RCA, traveling with Elvis, worked with ASCAP and signed Reba, George Strait, Lyle Lovett and Gary Burr. He served on the CMA, ACM and many other boards.
CRAIG MORGAN- Recently lost his mother.
TERRI CLARK- Recently lost her mother.
HANK COCHRAN- We lost Hank this year.
