I'm not even sure how I stumbled upon your page, I think it is for a deadbeat dad group I joined, but I just wanted you to know that I truly appreciate you and all the hard work you have done on your page. Obviously and unfortunately, my ex is a dead beat. He owes over $31,000.00 in back child support for 3 year old twins. The divorce was absolute hell and I had to borrow $22,000.00 from my parents to go through the court process and keep my babies away from their meth addicted & alcoholic sperm donor. He know resides in "Underground Land" as I'm told by Child Support Enforcement. They can't find him. I am sick of it and have written letters to politicians, to never get a response. Laws need to change. I love your blog, "Deadbeat".....I have decided to atart my "campaign" again of writing letters.....would you mind if i printed it and included it in my letters? I am thinking of also trying to go to the media.....try to convince them to do an investigative show on how deadbeats go underground to avoid child support. I can furnish your name with the copies if you'd like or not.....or if you don't want me to, I won't use it, but what you have there is impressive and needs to be put in the face of every person on Capitol Hill. "My Childs VOICE" ********************* THEY SAY I HAVE YOUR EYES, THEY SAY I HAVE YOUR SMILE, I REALLY WOULDN'T KNOW, I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU IN A WHILE. YOU CHOSE TO LEAVE ME, AND NOT KEEP IN TOUCH, I GUESS TO YOU, I DIDN'T MEAN VERY MUCH. MOM DID WHAT SHE COULD, AND STRUGGLED EACH DAY, TO PROVIDE THE THINGS I NEEDED. JUST ON HER PAY. WE HAD TO GO ON WELFARE, WHEN THINGS GOT REAL BAD. BUT, ALL WE REALLY NEEDED, WAS SOME HELP FROM MY DAD. I WENT WITHOUT THINGS, THE OTHER KIDS HAD. SOMETIMES IT WAS TOUGH, OTHER TIMES IT WAS SAD. MOM DID WHAT SHE HAD TO, AND NEVER THOUGHT TWICE, YOU COULD HAVE HELPED HER, THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN NICE. SHE TRIED FOR YEARS, TO GET YOU INTO COURT, SO YOU COULD GET VISITATION, AND TO DISCUSS CHILD SUPPORT. BUT,YOU DIDN'T LEAVE, A FORWARDING ADDRESS, AND THE CHILD SUPPORT SYSTEM, MOM SAYS IT'S A MESS. THEY SAY THEY CAN'T FIND YOU, SO YOU CAN BE "SERVED" NOW I DON'T GET, THE SUPPORT I DESERVE. I MAY BE JUST A KID, BUT I HAVE "RIGHTS" I REALLY DON'T KNOW, HOW YOU SLEEP AT NIGHT.
