Interests

General
Things that interest me are different types of music from rap to classical, poetry (traditional and spoken word), psychology (abnormal studies in particular), and working out (used to lift weighcts now I only swim). For the record I am Southern not Country. Mississippi long state name, little cities, people with big hearts.
Music
Some of my favorite artist or groups are Lyfe Jennings, Brian McKnight, John Legend, Maxwell, The Roots, Common, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, Playa Fly, Corinne Bailey Rae, Buju, Sizzla, Miles Davis and old school Outkast. For the most part I will listen to everything if I can feel either the beat or the emotion of the artist.
Movies
Some of my favorite movies are Coolie High, Love Jones, Cruel Intentions, Alfie (new remake), Romeo and Juliet (new remake), Dune, Nacho Libre, Underworld, Dead Presidents, Black Ceasar, Under World, Kung Fu Hustle, and Bambi (don’t judge me that movie is deep on so many levels)
Television
Now that reality tv is taking over the world its hard to find good shows. I wonder why evertime I like a show it gets cancled Afro Samarai and Boondocks DVD's enterain me between MSNBC Reports
Books
Some of my favorite books are The Catcher in the Rye, Why the Caged Bird Sings, The Sun Also Rises, The Bluest Eye, and the Spirit of a Man and Their Eyes were Watching God.
Heroes
My heroes are my moms and pops. That’s a given but aside from them a lot of people paved the way for me to be where I am and received little or no credit, they are really heroes. There was this cartoon called “Tail Spin” based on the “The Jungle Book”. The tiger Sher Khan was a business man in this cartoon and I always wanted to grow up to be just like him. He was a hero of sorts to me and still is. Of cours I cant forget the comic book hero Black Panther.

About me:

I was born in Germany, lived almost everywhere, and finally ended up going to college in Mississippi. Currently I live in Tampa Florida and I love it here. In general I consider myself a very calm and laid back person. I have been called a lot of things over the years, but I take the most pride in being called a gentleman and a scholar.
