The 24/7 Youth Film Festival is designed for those aged 12 - 24 years to unleash their creative talents through the art of film. Participants take on the challenge to produce a 7 minute film in 24 hours! Teams are given a list of Objects/Concepts/Locations/Catch Phrases they must include in their film as proof they have made it within the designated 24 hours. Competing for awesome prizes - the films are then screened at local Cinemas judged by Industry Professionals.
Exclusive to Young People – the very popular 24/7 Youth Film Festival, in it's 7th year in 2009 is presented by Mosman, Manly, Warringah and Pittwater Council's.
These are the rules of the Competition:
* All films must be made in the 24-hour period between 2pm on the 29/8/09 and 2pm on the 30/8/09.
* All films must be no more than 7 minutes in length.
* All films must incorporate at least 5 of the items detailed on the official list of 13 items, including at least 1 from each category.
* All participants must be no older than 24 years and no younger than 12 years at the time of competition.
* All participants must agree to and sign a 24/7 Youth Film Festival Indemnity form.
* All participants must adhere to the instruction of 24/7 Staff, Supervisors and Volunteers.
* All films must be viewable by a public audience (rating of M or less - for details contact the Australian Bureau of Classification).
* Any film teams partaking in unlawful or anti-social behaviour (including 'jackass' style filmmaking) in or around the 24-hour period will be immediately disqualified.
* The only music films can contain must either be taken from the 24/7 CD library (available throughout the event) or be music that the film team holds the copyright for.
* The filmmakers must have the permission of all actors/extras featuring in any film.
* Only entered team members can be directly involved in the making of your film.
* By entering a film in 24/7 you are giving permission for your work to feature in any way, shape or form, as part of any 24/7 related event.
* Films are permitted to use superimposed text.

haha awesome! i wanna see everyones films! Im commin on saturday. are all the films listed the only ones who got a film in? lol i wish we had more time we had like 1 hour to edit! lol and we had to re-film it all in the morning cause it didnt work! lol problems always happen! darnit haha
