Who „24give“ [pronounced: „to forgive“] the first time read, will not assumed that the band from Emden gave their attention to the harder way of metal. The sound of 24give, which is between old school death metal and modern metal, is such voluminous, that nobody cannot really shirking the headnod.
Who hides behind the extraordinary music mix, which seems to be modern….or just released the „old“ wave and therefor appeal so much acceptance in the metal scene?
The band formed in the springs in 2006 in Emden, through the founder members Sven Heinen and Marco Ohdens. Both musicians played together in the Emder Death-Grindcore Band „Crust“ (1990 – 1998) and after 10 years of absence they formed the project “24give”, a tribute an old former great days. The name of the project is from an old song, which Marco Ohdens wrote for a long time ago and means:
“You know what they say! forgive and forget, relive and regret”
Hence it came to „to forgive“
In march 2007 the band went to the “Metalsound-Studio” (Osterode/Harz) to record their first Demo-EP with four songs. The release of the EP was the 18.07.2007 which was limited to 500 pieces. It mirrored four songs which couldn’t be more different. The songs were made in different time with oppositional dynamic of every band member. Every song is thoughtful and provide with the red threat, so that it find one’s way part. You will not find fast speed record’s in the song’s of TOFORGIVE!
Since November 2007, the band played some gig’s, which owing plausible and the „grooves“ of the song’s, which the audience cannot really shirking, were really successful. The intensity of live acting support the brutal feelings of the song’s. Exlusive with our own song’s we fascinate the audience, 100% of headbanging qualtity and the fun of our expressive music are character of the band.
The process of a full record are finished. The Longplayer was recorded again in the Metalsound-Studio, which was poured in a livening rough sound and mirrored the whole brutality of the catchy song’s!

Wer "TOFORGIVE" das erste Mal liest, wird vermutlich nicht vermuten dass die Band aus Emden sich dem härteren Metal zugeschrieben hat. Der Sound von "TOFORGIVE", der irgendwo zwischen dem melodischen 90er Oldschool Death Metal und modernen Metal angesiedelt werden kann, ist derart voluminös, dass man sich kaum dem Kopfnicken entziehen kann.
Wer verbirgt sich hinter dem ungewöhnlichen Musik mix der nun gar nicht modern zu seien scheint….oder gerade eine neue „alte“ Welle auslöst und deswegen soviel Anklang in der Szene genießt?
Die Band formierte sich im Frühjahr 2006 in Emden durch die beiden Gründungsmitglieder Sven Heinen und Marco Ohdens. Beide Musiker hatten vorher schon gemeinsam bei der Emder Death-Grindcore Band „Crust“ (1990-1998) gespielt und nun nach fast 10 Jahren das Projekt “TOFORGIVE“ ins Leben gerufen, ein Tribute an die guten alten Tage. Der Name des Projektes stammt aus einem Lied, das Marco Ohdens vor langer Zeit schrieb, in dem es heißt:
“You know what they say! forgive and forget, relive and regret”
Daraus wurde “toforgive”
Im März 2007 hat man sich in den Harz begeben um im "Metalsound-Studio" in Osterode eine DEMO-EP mit 4-Songs aufzunehmen. Die EP ist am 18.07.2007 mit limitierten 500 Stück veröffentlicht worden. Die EP spiegelt 4 Songs wieder die nicht unterschiedlicher sein können. Die Songs entstanden in unterschiedlicher Zeit mit gegensätzlicher Dynamik der einzelnen Mitglieder. Jeder Song ist durchdacht und mit dem sog. „roten Faden“ versehen, so dass man sich jederzeit zu Recht findet. Geschwindigkeits-Rekorde wird man bei "TOFORGIVE" nicht finden.
Seit November 2007 wurden mehrere Konzerte gespielt, die aufgrund der Eingängigkeit und des "Grooves" der Songs, dem sich kein Zuhörer entziehen kann, ein voller Erfolg waren. Die intensive Livepräsenz unterstützt die brutale "Soundwand". Mit ausschließlich eigenen Songs faszinieren wir "TOFORGIVE" in über 60min dem Zuhörer. 100% „Headbang“ Qualität und dem Spaß an der eigenen aussagekräftigen Musik sind Merkmale der Band!
Die Arbeiten an einem vollständigen Album sind abgeschlossen. Der neue Longplayer "PAIN IN ME" wurde abermals im Metalsound-Studio in ein lebendiges rauhes Soundgewand gegossen und spiegelt die Brutalität der eingängigen Stücke sehr gut wieder! Das Album ist im Dezember 2009 veröffentlicht worden.

Kim Janssen aus Groningen (eigentlich Musiker bei The Black Atlantic) und Rue Royale aus Großbritannien liefern einen eher ruhigen Einstieg ins neue Jahr! Akustische Gitarre und Gesang sind die Hauptinstrumente von Kim Janssen. Diese sind gepaart mit großartigem Songwriting und einer einzigartigen Bühnenpräsenz. Rue Royale schlagen in die gleiche Kerbe allerdings zu zweit und zur Hälfte weiblich. Das Duo aus dem UK überzeugt mit tollen Melodien und erzeugen eine Atmosphäre die einen einfach überwältigt und sofort in seinen Bann zieht.
