Research has shown that musical study develops critical thinking and self discipline skills and improves a child's early cognitive development, basic math and reading abilities, self-esteem, SAT scores, ability to work in teams, spatial reasoning skills, and school attendance. Also, researchers have found that children involved with music education are more likely to graduate from high school and attend college, and are less likely to be involved with gangs and substance abuse.
Music is not only eroding, but completely disappearing in education systems...help support our cause and speak out.

About me:
The chapters of Sigma Alpha Iota and Phi Mu Alpha at Bradley University are proud to present 24 Hours of Music!
Each year our organization raises money for the music departments of Peoria 150 School Districts.(Peoria, IL)
This district gets around $120 a year for their music departments--$120 will not even repair one instrument. This is WHY they need our help.
Dates for 2009 are: APRIL 17th & 18th: 5PM-5PM
The event is FREE, but donations are encouraged to raise money for District 150.
24 Hours is a 24 hour Concert event on the Quad of Bradley University in Peoria IL. Each band, artist, or act has either a 50 or 25 minute slot during the event to perform.

I am trying to get a group of girls from the Psi Chapter of SAI to come on Friday night.
24 Hours of Music is free, but its goal IS to raise money for distrcit 150, so donations are encouraged.
what's the cost for people to come?
