24Kt GOLD is a solo artist who dresses slightly thug out and refuses to compromise what she believes in. She sings, raps and writes all her own material. She has been singing solo and writing since 98.
Before this 24 was in a Gospel choir from the age of 13. Music has always been part of her life and from even before she was born. Her first performance was at the tender age of 3 years old in front of her whole school. From that point her parents felt she was made to do it.
At 13 years old 24 started going to church and in turn began singing with a choir. It gave her an emotional outlet. When she sang, nothing else mattered. 24 believed that when performing she was giving a part of herself to everyone and that was an amazing feeling.
24 says "When I am on stage and everyones eyes are on me, I have their full attention, I can tell them anything. For that moment, they belong to me."
"As I write my songs I can tell people what I want them to know, how their actions make me feel and who I am as a person. Through my music, I can make sense of situations, close chapters of my life and look to a better future. My music is the very essence of me."

The Journey so far...
In 98, 24 entered a local talent show called "Brag and Boast" winning first place in her heat then going on to win the final out of 13 finalist..
In 2000 she started working on own music. At the end of that year she travelled to the USA for a 3 month period to start work on her first demo. Making a connection with a small production team (PowaHousProductions) based in Baltimore, Maryland. She did record a demo but not fully satisfied. So at the start of 2002 she was informed of a local studio (Gorse Hill Studios) where she could record and work on perfecting her talents. And through working at Gorse Hill she was able to take part in the events of that year which included ..Party in the Park' and 'The Side Show' July 02,Both events set up to show case the area's unsigned talent. Also the same year she performed at the Manchester carnival as an ex ..Brag and Boast.. winner and had a number of radio interviews.
24Kt GOLD enjoys supporting positive events and was fortunate to be able to perform for the cultural peace day at the Urbis in Manchester's City Centre in the summer of 03. Events of that summer include ..Party in the Park 2003' and 'The Side Show Part 2' in July. Interviews on Carnival FM, ALL FM, Wythenshaw FM. 24 took part in 'In The City' in Manchester and on to the London show case. In the August 24 performed at an event called UNSIGNED UNCUT 2003 in Bury, and the Dry Bar in Manchester. November of 03, 24 recorded for the Manchester channel, performed at Urban Music Seminar in Oldham, Urban Myths at Roadhouse in Manchester,
In 2004 The Kitchen, Roadhouse in Manchester. The Side Show 3 at The Contact in Manchester. Prestige Ladies Promotions Official Launch Party in Liecester Square London. That event was hosted by Richard Blackwood and the Kat Man (of MTV).
By 2005 24Kt GOLD had her first album recorded and also had her first hit recording "R U Ready Pt 2" feat Backdraft. This track was a breakbeat remix which was a DJ release on vinal. Entering the Breakbeat chart at number 13, peeking at number 2 in 2weeks at staying for 4.
2006 and 2007 have been quiet for 24, due to her having taken time out for family and for working on new material but 2008 has brought around the rebirth of the artist you once new. 'Stripped and Broken' is the new album for 2008. Look out! She's back!
