Bio:

If you find yourself at a concert where roars of laughter accompany driving melodies and a soaring voice, you might be at a Katie Reider show. This folk-rock musician combines John Mayer charisma, with Ellen DeGeneres wit, and tops it all off with a songwriting style reminiscent of an early Shawn Colvin. On top of that, her band has a way of delivering the music in a premium package by laying melodies and grooves behind her strong vocals and acoustic guitar.

Since her first release in 1998, Reider has been recognized by the local and national recording industry, winning 5 Cincinnati area music awards, landing several national airing spots on the ABC television network, and independently selling over 10,000 CDs. The Cincinnati native, who now resides in Columbus, OH, has performed with several national and international touring artists including: Catie Curtis, Melissa Ferrick, Michelle Malone, Antigone Rising, Ember Swift, Edie Carey,Saving Jane, Shawn Mullins, and many more.

In a day and age where independent musicians saturate the market in hopes of being discovered, thousands of fans will confess that Katie Reider has that "star quality". You cant help but be drawn into her world, whether it's at a live performance or through the speakers of your stereo. She will make you laugh, she may even make you cry, but her genuine talent and raw wit continually keeps fans coming back again and again.

Celebrate Katie Reider at The Taste of Cincinnati Festival in Cincinnati May 23 - May 25th, 2009On Saturday, May 23, 2009 Katie Reider will be honored at in Cincinnati three ways. The Folk/Rock Stage at the Taste of Cincinnati Festival will be named The Katie Reider Stage , a Katie Reider Spirit of Music Award being presented in her honor and with the day being named in Honor of Katie Reider by the Mayor Of Cincinnati.

Exactly One Year after 500Kin365.org was launched, Katie is going to be honored at a Festival in the city she first began and ended her career at. Taste of Cincinnati is a festival that routinely draws 500K people to downtown Cincinnati each year. Awesome - Come Join in On the FUN!!
