.. ..Souls, artiste aux multiples facettes ( chanteur, auteur, danseur & slameur) fut bercé par le Semba (musique angolaise), la musique africaine en général, le Hip-Hop et la Bossa Nova. C'est à l'adolescence que Souls découvre la Soul Music ainsi que le Jazz. Ses influences varient entre J. Tchipa & Eduardo Paim, la Soul des années 1950-70 de Marvin Gaye, le Jazz des années 1930-50 de Charlie Parker , le Hip-Hop de la fin des années 1980 aux débuts de 1990, etc. Très vite, il se met à l'écriture ; écriture de poèmes et par la suite ses premières chansons. En 2002, il fonde (avec son cousin) le collectif The Old Folks (désormais Soulfly Brovaz) et commence à pratiquer la danse (le Poppin'-Boogaloo). Depuis, Souls s'éfforce de garder & alimenter cette richesse culturelle pour honnorer cet Art qui est la musique… « Mon inspiration première est la Femme Bantu ! » Souls est la communion de Soul & de Jazz, de Poésie & de Hip Hop... .... .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .. .... ..Souls is a multi-facet artist (singer, writter, dancer & slamer). Raised by Semba (Angolan music), African music as a whole , Hip-Hop & Bossa Nova. Souls discovered Soul Music & Jazz when he was a teenager. He has been inspired by J.Tchipa, Eduardo Paim, the 1950's-70's Soul music of Marvin Gaye, the 1930's-50's Jazz music of Charlie Parker, the latest 1980's & earliest 1990's Hip-Hop, etc. Very soon, he started writting, first of all poetry and then his first songs. In 2002, his cousin & him created the group The Old Folks (now Soulfly Brovaz) & started dancing as well (Poppin'-Boogaloo).
