Manchmal, da redet er in einer rührenden Art Kauderwelsch vom Tod, der uns die Reue bringt. Von Unglücklichen, die wie Hunde leben. Von herzzerreißenden Abschiedsszenen. Er sagt, dass Liebe nicht existiert. Oft wird er böse gegen mich und beleidigt alles was mir heilig ist, und ist dann empört, wenn ich weine. Ich sagte einmal "Ich verstehe Dich!", er zuckte mit den Schultern und sagte, dass sei völlig unmöglich. In den Spilunken, in denen wir trinken, weint er oft, wenn er sieht, was ihn umgibt: Herdenvieh des Elends! In den schwarzen Gassen hilft er den Betrunkenen auf, sanft wie ein Mädchen auf dem Weg, die Beichte abzulegen. Viele folgen ihm. Es muss sein, sie können nicht anders...
