Cooking turnips for supper... nothing as "earthy" as fresh turnips. They made me remember the Russian folk tale about the giant turnip :)Mood: peaceful peacefulPosted at 1:10 AM Nov 6 view more

About me:

Currently a SAHM, I homeschooled my 11 year old son for 3 years, teaching him to love and honor God, People, and the Earth and to think for himself. He's now in public school and while teaching him is a constant, I'm looking forward to the next thing the universe has in store for me to occupy my time...
One thing I'd like people to learn from ME: "Green" isn't always about expensive solar panels, big wind generators, fancy geothermal systems and media hype... its about living your life in a quiet way close to the earth... growing your own food, living in small simple spaces, drying your clothes on the line, reusing what you can in new ways, not buying everything you want just because that money is burning a hole in your pocket...

Who I'd like to meet:

People interested in simple living, urban homesteading, gardening, recycling, green living, alternative energy... Especially people who can teach me more about any and all of that!
