...... ...... Hardrock: “A sub-genre originated from blues and rock, which can be recognized by loud electric guitars and solo’s. Catchy riffs are the solid foundation for the songs, dominant vocals and screams are prominently present”. Rule of Reason obviously doesn’t need Wikipedia’s to dictate them how to play cool music, but both the definition and the sense of musical freedom that goes along with, pretty much covers all Rule of Reason stands for. All songs have clear structures and are definitely guitar-orientated. The music has a huge variety in style, tempo, intensity and agression. ...... Originated from Holland and founded in 2007, Rule of Reason headed for the studio the same year in july to record their debut album. Unfortunatly the line-up didn’t outlast last the mixing- and edititing proces. The position behind the microphone and drumkit would remain vacant for a long time. With a completed album in the bag, but without the means to promote it live, the remaining members decided to put the record on hold. With Michel (ex-Stone in Egypt) on drums and singer Eric (ex-Seven Day Hunt, Mangrove) joining the band, Rule of Reason started a second chapter in it’s brief history. The new frontman re-recorded the vocals for some of the songs of the never released album. After a two year gap the endresult finally sees the light of day with the 2009 selfproduced 4-track promo ‘Fallen’. Unfortunately things didn't work out with Eric on the long run. Rule of Reason are looking for a new singer and are currently preparing for a 2010 live-offensive. Their biggest priority for the near future is to play live as much as possible. The first shows with the new line-up were a huge succes and the band is eager for more.
