Kling Klang

I totally buzz off Kling Klang. Fat electro krautrock riffs and landscapes get channeled through amiable scousers.
http://www.myspace.com/klingklang

listen to Heavydale

Quack Quack

Yorskhire's top semi-pro rock band create pulsing rhythmic grooves lovingly fermented from the finest drums, synths and bass they could get their hands on. A very special vintage.
http://www.myspace.com/thisisquackquack

listen to Conversations

Minghe Morte

Musicianship of the highest calibre which will blow your head clean off. With drums, fucked up sax and bass coming together for infectiously violating rock grooves, tender atmospheres and aggresive spasmodic climaxing.
http://www.myspace.com/minghemorte

listen to i Punch U Coz i Like U

Curious Voice Duo

Two lovely girls from LIMA* who know their voices. Performing within semi-structures with an innocent improvisational flair, entwining their heavenly voices in gorgeously melodic dialogue. With no added vocal effects.

The Moor Music Festival

Jan 22 2008 6:49 AM

It seems like years since the last Moorfest happened and to be honest I think the weather was very much a factor in whether people enjoyed themselves or not. Some thrived in the mud whilst others wept until their dads could pick them up. Moorfest is still carving an identity for itself and in the three years that it has been established I think I can say that the one thing that most people love about it is the friendly atmosphere, and this gig is a good opportunity to meet up with friends that perhaps you haven't seen since the festival, to make new friends, enjoy quality music, get a flavour of Moorfest if you haven't already been and also to talk to the organisers in order to give your opinions on how to improve the festival.
We'll also be projecting your favourite photos that you've taken from previous Moorfests to create a live mashup that will adorn the walls of the Brudenell so please send them to bandsformoorfest@yahoo.co.uk and make sure that everyone in the picture is cool for you to use them like this.

There'll be much more to boot like gorgeous organic food, t-shirt stall, films and raffles to win tickets to Moorfest 4 which we're working on right now and aim to make it the best yet.

We really appreciate your continued support in making Moorfest what it is and hope to see you all there.

Team Moorfest x
Ms. Coco de Loca

Roll up, roll up… last forbidden characters of this season – and have we got a veritable smorgasbord of Northern music lined up for you!

From Liverpool please welcome Contraption, the one-man electronica project of Kneil. Laptop in hand, his live performance will fuse moods through varying styles of electronica...from electro to drum n bass...industrial to breakbeat...always with a sleazy swagger, dirty beat and a passion for the inventive.

From Newcastle we have the musical whirlwind that is Urban Geisha! Born and raised in the Ukraine, she first nurtured her love of music as a Promoter & MC at underground parties. This chica will be spinning some eye-popping durty grimey dub-step, chalk up your dancing shoes…

From Leeds we have our very own Annie Erez, doing her techno tour de force; expect anything from stripped-back noises right through to nosebleed territory. She is a stalwart of the Leeds club scene and beyond…..

Paizan will be on residential duties with some non-conformist deep minimal techno. She’ll be accompanied by opera singer and Hybrids collaborator Jenny Kosmowsky. Jenny’s lush operatic improvisations over Paizan’s set will leave you with a rich sonic experience or perhaps scratching your head in musical fusion confusion. As ever, Digital Donut will provide a stunning visual backdrop to the occasion with Voodoo Si snapping away in the background – all your Christmases come early!!!

mindtours (kompakt) label bosses steevio & suzy bee will deliver an awesome live audio-visual experience. steevio's productions and live performances nestle analogue ideas and polyrhythms within spontaneous hip shakin' grooves, rejecting orthodox linear structures, alongside suzy bee’s live organic animations.

from barcelona, but hailing from colombia, we have an exclusive first UK appearance by adriana lopez ‘spain’s female answer to techno’. this woman will dazzle you with her technical skills and ability to deliver more of them hip shakin’ grooves - she’ll be rolling out a deep minimal set with a hint of industrial.

final visitor will be leeds’ very own drum & bass mistress rikinez from the nomadz sound system

I move to brummy town in less than one week. ONE WEEK. Eek. So I’m only accepting postal orders and paypal payments, so this is your last chance to buy something. I have lots of choice. I have outfits to make you look sexy. To make you look like an 80year old bingo caller. To make you shake your booty. To make you happy. I need it to goooo people. So buy yourself a treat. And entire my magical world. And help buy me some spoons and forks. And feed my three babies: Brandy, Taramasu, and Figglemylugo. Go into my pictures and into folder MY JUNK FOR SALE. I have also just reduced alot of prices, so see if you can find a bargain. There is soooo much there. If not, you could just buy me one of those mini tins of spaghetti hoops. Feeds us all. Yum. Remember, you are beautiful, no matter what they say. Ooh! X

hello my little buttercups. Gosh, I have sooo much junk in my trunk to sell. Go to my pictures, and into the folder MY JUNK FOR SALE and check it all out, it all needs to go before I go to uni. Keep checking back as I still have a few things to go up..eek. People of Birmingham! I shall soon be commencing my time in your city, anyone that fancies taking me under their wing, I would surely be grateful for. (as long as its not too stinky). I mean, how do you get on a bus? And where is best to buy my baked beans and crisps? Beats me. :-) I made a little new video and its on my page if you would like to see. I have butterflies in my stomach right now, as I know there is so much fun to come,,yayyy!! If you have bought something from me, take a sexy photo and you can star on my page..joyo. Anyway, love to you all my dearest pooheads. Now, you’ve heard my threats, go buy something so I can pay for my crisp addiction. Mwah xxxxx
