My dream is to fly planes and get paid for it. How cool it must be to have a passion that pays the bills. I'm married to a freakin' hottie who doesn't know she's altogether lovely. We have a son, who is the joy of all that know him, and a brand new baby girl born on July 19, 2006. Her name is Teiley. My childhood is full of good memories. I grew up on a cattle ranch in Nevada. Family has always been important and still is. After graduating high school, I was blessed to be able to attend a 1-year 'School of Ministry' offered by the Applegate Christian Fellowship. That year was the most incredible of my life. I met Jesus. Oh, I knew of Him and even accepted Him as my personal Lord and Savior, but it wasn't until that year that I really met Jesus and began a relationship with Him. That was also the year I met my beautiful wife. Not a day goes by that I don't thank God for her. I'm deeply in love with this woman. We spent the first two years of our marriage in Medford before moving to Portland. I attended college for the first time, enrolling in an aviation program that taught me how to become a professional pilot. I am now the proud owner of a pilot's license that allows me to escape from the world and its cares as long as there's fuel in the tank. I decided to further my education of aircraft by enrolling into an aviation maintenance school. That continues to be a work in progress. His ways are higher than our ways, His thoughts higher than our thoughts. I don't know what's next for us, but I do know that He is faithful.
Who I'd like to meet: CESSNA 310
HONDA 305 SUPERHAWK CB77
whenever you guys zoom back up here, maybe we should all have a family night. there does not always have to be steamrolling involved! i'd consider eggrolls though.
Actually I had some other things come up, so I'm not doing the coastal two-day trip, but since the weather's so nice I thought I'd head up to Albany today and have lunch with my uncle. I've pretty much got all day, so I thought about a jaunt over to MMV to see the Goose while I'm at it. If you'll be flying around up anywhere thereabouts today, maybe we can meet up? My # is 541-301-4465.
Ha - funny you mention deer; I had one race me down the runway taking off from Beagle the other day! Haven't checked out Eureka yet, but I stopped in Crescent City the other day. I'm going to take some time off and do a flight to LA, hopefully before the end of April. Might stop there then.
Sounds good. So far I'm planning on a BOK-AST flight (2 or 3 weekends from now, maybe), hitting as many airports as possible and chronicling the voyage, then probably return back down the I-5 corridor.
I'm not flying yet, but very busy. Aerodynamics is tomorow, and then we start flight management systems and procedures training. Sim starts feb 3rd. IOE is in march hopefuly. We will hang out soon.
