I'm going to save some time and just put this one in list form. -Archaeology -History -Society for Creative Anachronism -Movies -Theater -Shakespeare (go figure) -Blacksmithing -Sewing -Cake Decorating -Music -Calligraphy and Illumination -Leatherworking -Gaming (pc, ps2, tabletop) -Carving -Sculpting (though I am WAY out of practice) -Writing -Reading (especially sci/fi and fantasy)
Music
Just about anything but twangy country or most rap. I tend to listen to classic rock, but will occasionally get in the mood for classical or celtic punk. Favorites include Billy Joel, U2, Eagles, AC/DC, Queen, Bon Jovi.
Movies
Yes...Just about anything is fair game with me. In particular sci/fi, fantasy, or historical works. My all time favorites include Star Wars, The Princess Bride, Indiana Jones, and Shakespeare in Love. Like I said, across the board.
Television
Firefly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Babylon 5, West Wing, Studio 60, House, Mail Call, SG-1, Battlestar Gallactica (both).
Books
Got addicted to Mercedes Lackey about a year or so ago. Since that time I have read all but one of the Valdemar books, as well as a few of her short stories. And, if you hadn't guessed, Shakespeare is a must.

About me:

I am a truly mixed-up individual. And I mean that in almost every possible way. My family tree contains (but is not limited to) German, Scotch, Irish, English, Chzech, Slovak, Hungarian, Austrian, and Polish. My interests run the gambit from movies and theater, to cake decorating and blacksmithing. I am always into some project or another, and have found that they make great conversation starters. After all, a 6'5" man quietly hand-quilting a 16th century arming doublet tends to draw a few questions ;).

Who I'd like to meet:

I'd have to say Joss Whedon, J.M.S., and Aaron Sorkin. Three very creative and articulate writers that have come up with six of my favorite series, and a few really good movies.
