I have a 6th grade reading level, but I did just finish "Misquoting Jesus" and I'm almost done reading "Lost Christianities" and I'm working on "The Orthodox Corruption Scripture" all by Bart D. Ehrman. I also have read "His Book" by Sailor Jerry, published by Kate Hellenbrand. One more to add to the list, "Grave Matters" the author's name escapes me right now.

About me: Not much really. I'm married to a wonderful person, we're best friends, I just wish we had more time to spend together. I'm a tattoo artist and body piercer, me and two of my friends own a tattoo studio/gallery in Superior, WI, called INK. I love music, but not alot of what people are writing today. I'm also a musician in a few different bands, Words to a Film Score, The Farewell Tour/Horse and Rider, and Cars & Trucks, there are also times you may see me do a 20 minute bass solo in Manheat!! I've been playing bass since I was 8 or 9 years old, and guitar since I was 14, I'm not sure which I enjoy more. I have no patience for intolerence, I can't stand it when people use the word "Gay" or "Retarded" to describe everyday things. It seems that alot of people these days find it completely acceptable to call someone a "fag", "gay" or "retarded" they find no offense to it at all. Most of the time I'm pretty happy, it's hard to let me down. I can usually find good in anybody or anything, you'll live a hell of a lot easier if you don't stress about everything, I think it effects your health too. I love my friends and family, and I try hanging out with them as much as i can.
RELIGION: As far as religion goes, I grew up Catholic, and my grandfather was a Baptist minister. I went to neighbors' churches when I was a kid, Baptist and Evangelical. I've come to understand why people go to church, and I understand why people believe in a god, but as I grew older I found myself at odds with religion and religious dogma. I put my faith in my friends, family, and myself, rather than a nonexistent god. I used to attend church out of a fear, a fear of what will happen when I die, I kept going even when I stopped believing because of that fear. I think I needed that sense of community and belonging, but I get the same sense of community from my...community. The problem I have is when a person's, or groups', religious beliefs start affecting the way our country is run and the people who run it. I'm fed up with it all, I've met far too many christians that preach one thing and do another. They'll follow one part of the bible, and disregard other parts when it doesn't fit into their belief system or defenition of religion. I don't think religion brings us together, if anything it pulls us apart.
So i was thinking about Cars & Trucks at my grad party, and it would be so fricken fun, but then i realized that its more gonna be like my really old relatives and just a couple friends. And all the old people are gonna wanna talk to me the whole time so i wouldn't even be able to enjoy it. So instead of playing at my grad party, i was thinking next time you guys have a show i can just get me and a bunch of my friends together and go to it so i can actually have fun and watch you guys play! is that okay? let me know if you get this message so i know your band members knooow. thanks brother i love you :)
